Show History
How past shows are stored, what's accessible, and what's local-only versus planned for sync.
Last updated 2026-07-25 · Applies to NotBot 1.3.14+
Every show NotBot has watched is stored locally on your computer and is accessible from the Show History tab in the global top bar above the split app window.
How shows are tracked
A new show entry is created automatically as soon as NotBot detects a livestream URL in the built-in browser, typically when you open the show, before any auction has ended. From that point, NotBot fills in events as they happen. Each show gets its own independent set of:
- Buyer numbers (starting at #1).
- Auction, giveaway, Buy It Now, and accepted-offer records.
- Bid feed and chat participants.
- Print queue entries.
- Stats: participants, revenue, average sale, and so on.
Buyer numbers are scoped to the show. Buyer #5 in one show is not the same person as buyer #5 in another show.
The Show History tab
The Show History tab shows a searchable list of every past show:
- Each row shows the date, stream name and seller, revenue, auction count, buyer count, and duration.
- The current live show, if any, is marked LIVE.
- Sortable by date, revenue, auction count, or buyer count. Other columns are display-only.
- Per-row action: Delete the show.
- Click a row to open that show's detail view.
The show detail view
Opening a show fills the whole window (it is no longer a small popup) and is organized into tabs, each with its own search and sorting:
- Items: every auction, purchase, and giveaway in the show. Click an auction or purchase row to reprint its label. Giveaway event-label reprints from a past show are not currently exposed.
- Buyers: every buyer with their box number. You can reprint an existing buyer's box label from here.
- Chat: the chat log for the show. When a chatter has been assigned a box number, the number shows next to their name, so you can match chatters to their packages at a glance.
- Summary: the show's stats and the Stream Timeline.
- Reports: run the Show Summary and Buyer List reports for this show. The full report library, including the Cut Sheet and your own custom reports, lives in the top-bar Reports tab.
A Payments button always sits at the top of the show detail view (not just when a payment problem occurred). It lists payment-related events with each buyer's box number.
If Card Breaks is on, shows that contained breaks also get a breaks section: every spot with its buyer, box number, and assigned result.
Sale photos
When Save a photo of each sale is on (Settings → Advanced), NotBot captures the show screen the moment an auction ends and keeps the photo with your show history, so you can look back at every item. Pick High, Standard, or Compact in the photo quality setting to balance sharpness against disk space. The photos stay on your computer and are removed when you clear or delete the show. A Show photos folder button opens them in Finder or Explorer.
Where the data lives
All show data lives in a local database on your computer:
- macOS:
~/Library/Application Support/notbot/ - Windows:
%APPDATA%\notbot\
Nothing about your shows is sent to the cloud as part of show-history storage. See Privacy for what does and doesn't leave your machine.
Cross-device sync (planned)
Show history today is local to the machine that ran NotBot during the show. If you start a show on a laptop and finish it on a desktop, the two will have separate histories. Cross-device sync is on the roadmap but is not yet shipped.
